Welcome to kitxeno ("we", "our", or "us"). We provide an automated scheduling and social media management platform designed for Pinterest creators, marketers, and businesses. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparent handling of your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Pinterest Developer Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
When you use kitxeno, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and encrypted password when registering for a kitxeno account.
- Pinterest Account Data: When you connect your Pinterest account via OAuth 2.0 authorization or sandbox tokens, we receive your Pinterest user ID, username, profile picture URL, account type, and scoped OAuth access tokens.
- Content and Scheduling Data: Pin titles, descriptions, destination links, images you upload, scheduled posting times, and target board identifiers.
3. How We Use Pinterest API Data
Our application integrates with the official Pinterest API v5. We use the requested permissions strictly for the following purposes:
- user_accounts:read: To display your connected Pinterest profile name and account status in your dashboard.
- boards:read: To retrieve your Pinterest boards and sections so you can select destination boards for your scheduled pins.
- boards:write: To allow you to manage boards if requested.
- pins:read: To confirm the delivery status and details of pins published through our platform.
- pins:write: To create and publish scheduled pins to your designated boards on your behalf at your requested times.
We never sell, rent, or trade your Pinterest data or personal information to third parties. We do not use your Pinterest content for advertising or model training.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your authentication tokens and credentials are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption and stored securely in our databases. Access tokens are exclusively used by automated server workers to publish your scheduled pins at the designated timestamps.
5. User Control and Data Retention
You retain complete control over your content and connected accounts:
- You can disconnect any Pinterest account at any time from the Pinterest Accounts page in kitxeno, which immediately deletes stored access tokens from our servers.
- You can delete any scheduled pin prior to its publication time.
- You can submit a complete data deletion request at any time by following our User Data Deletion Instructions.
